A Wetlands Adventure leads F–2 students through a blend of storytelling, hands‑on science and outdoor exploration as they discover how stormwater shapes wetland environments. Through stormwater modelling, simple filtration experiments and close‑up investigations of water bugs, they learn how human actions influence water quality and wetland health. Using magnifiers, microscopes and field tools, students explore the features and needs of the plants and animals that rely on these habitats. By the end, they can spot signs of a healthy ecosystem and recognise simple everyday actions that help protect our waterways.
The Eco-Explorers experience immerses students in the dynamic relationships between water, wetlands and living things through a blend of indoor and outdoor discovery. They investigate how water moves through the environment, uncover why wetlands are vital for both people and wildlife, and explore the roles of producers, consumers, and decomposers in a habitat. Along the way, they build scientific and geographical skills through bird spotting, biodiversity surveys, water cycle modelling and collaborative sustainability challenges - everything they need to confidentially become true Eco-Explorers.
